These terms govern your use of MeritVault. By creating an account, purchasing, or listing material, you agree to them. Read them with the same care you would bring to the exam you are preparing for.
01The Platform
MeritVault is a marketplace that connects verified creators with aspirants. We are not a publisher, a coaching institute, or the author of the material listed. We do not endorse, guarantee, or grade any dossier. We provide the verification, the protection, and the settlement — the merit is the creator's own.
02Creator Requirements
To list material on MeritVault, a creator must:
- Complete DigiLocker identity verification and substantiate the rank or qualification they claim.
- List original content only — material they personally authored and own the rights to.
- Refrain from uploading plagiarised, copied, or third-party copyrighted material of any kind.
- Describe each dossier honestly, including its scope, exam relevance, and recency.
Listing material that is not yours, or that you do not have the right to sell, is grounds for immediate removal and account termination.
03Revenue Share
Our economics are deliberately simple, and weighted toward the people who do the work.
Creators earn 80%
For every sale, the creator retains 80% of the price they set. MeritVault retains 20% to cover verification, DRM, payment processing, and the running of the platform. Prices are set entirely by creators; MeritVault does not set, cap, or recommend prices.
04Buyer Rights
When you purchase a dossier, you receive a personal, non-transferable licence to access and study it. Specifically, you may:
- Access the material on your verified account, including offline.
- Retain access permanently, subject to these terms.
- Sync your reading progress across your own devices.
You may not resell, lend, transfer, or reproduce the material. The licence is yours alone.
05Prohibited Conduct
The following are strictly forbidden and will result in suspension or termination:
- Circumventing, disabling, or attempting to defeat DRM or watermarking.
- Sharing, redistributing, or publishing purchased material in any form.
- Scraping, crawling, or harvesting content or data from the platform.
- Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your credentials.
- Any attempt to extract unprotected copies of a dossier.
06Refund Policy
Dossiers are digital goods delivered instantly and are generally non-refundable, as access is granted the moment a purchase settles. As an exception, we will consider a refund request made within 48 hours of purchase where the material was materially misdescribed or technically inaccessible. Requests are reviewed case by case at support@meritvault.app.
07Content Moderation
We reserve the right to review, restrict, or remove any listing that violates these terms, infringes intellectual property, or misleads buyers — and to suspend or terminate accounts responsible for such listings. We may act on reports from buyers, creators, or rights-holders.
08Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi.
